Unveiling the Artist

Hi guys!

I'm Xinze, I'm a PhD student in University of Sydney now, I am committed to expressing the research of forest fires in a cross-cultural context through contemporary jewellery. My MFA majoring in Jewellery & Matelwork in Sheffield Hallam University. I also majored in Visual communication at Nanjing University of Science and Technology.

The wearable art I create is developed around the social status quo and the theme of man and nature. Not only for the development of metal technology, I often combine pure natural materials with metal, so as to present diversified design and rustic emotion.

With the development of society, there are more and more contradictions gradually surfaced. I am good at deep philosophical and critical thinking about these subtle phenomena. In response to these questions, I often approach my designs with a sharp and sarcastic attitude. Inspiration elements such as human nature, inequality system and religious constraints are used to sort out, extract and recreate, so that more people can see these vulnerable groups and some inherent views that need to be changed.
